Spin-Ons       [ back ]

Western Filter Spin-Ons are suitable for use on all return lines and are rated for flows up to 20 gpm. Elements are available in cellulose, synthetic and water absorbing media. They are interchangeable with other competitive Spin-Ons. The E021 series elements can be used as air breathers. the W023 and W022 filter series incorporate port styles for using either pressure gauges/switches or differential indicators.
Assemblies:
In-Tank       [ back ]

The WT, WL and WR Intank series is designed for return line applications. These filters operate with pressures up to 200 psi and fows to 320 gpm. The WL16 and WL18 series offers additional design flexibility with the optional anti-drain valve for side mounting the filter to the reservoir. Filtration flow on the WR series is from inside to outside of the filter element to capture contamination inside the element. The WR11 series is designed to meet flow requirements up to 40 gpm in a light weight compact design.
Assemblies:
Low Pressure       [ back ]

The designs offered in this filter series accomodate the need for a full range of port types and configurations. Working pressures range from 500 psi to 800 psi and are available with BetaPore or Coreless media.
Assemblies:
Medium Pressure       [ back ]
Our Medium Pressure series filters are designed for continuous working pressures up to 4500 psi and flows from 20 gpm to 150 gpm. Many of the filters within this pressure range conform to the AIAG automotive HF2, HF3 and HF4 specification.
Assemblies:
High Pressure       [ back ]
Our High Pressure series filters are designed for pressure line applications where design flexibility is required. Besides the standard T-Type and/or L-Type porting, we offer manifold type filters to provide compact and direct mount installation. This series is rated for flow from 50 to 150 gpm and a working pressure range from 4500 psi to 6000 psi.
Assemblies:
Duplex       [ back ]
Our Duplex filters are designed to meet the needs of critical hydraulic and lubrications circuits where continuous flow filtration is required during routine maintenance. The Duplex filters offer a working pressure range from 400 psi to 3000 psi and flows from 50 to 300 gpm.

Higher efficiency, lower pressure drop
and more media means that Western Filter products
are the best value in the market!

Western Filter elements and “West Fit” replacement elements (“C”, “E”, and “L”) are manufactured utilizing Western Filter’s proprietary “Max-Pack™” technology. Optimized pleat designs and proprietary compression assembly techniques allow us to pack more high performance media around the element core without increasing clean pressure drop. Computer engineered pack support layers insure all medium area is exposed to fluid flow for maximum media utilization. This combination of engineering expertise and manufacturing technology means you can count on longer in-service life with Western Filter and “West Fit” “Max-Pack™” elements.
Element Pak Information:

Almost 50 years in media research and development have yielded a standard media Pak™ selection for industrial, mobile, and marine applications. Depending on your specific requirements, Western Filter elements can be specified with the following standard media options.

[ back ]

C-Pak™ & R-Pak™ (Standard):
Media: Beta Pore™

Our Standard media pak and the foundation of our product line, this ever evolving
state-of-the-art media provides extremely high efficiency, low clean Δp, and substantially higher dirt holding capacity than our competitors’ elements. Constructed in five-layers with three proprietary inner layers surrounded by and inner and outer layer of epoxy-coated steel mesh for pleat stability and overall pack support, C and R Pak™ medias are the ideal choice for petroleum, high-water based, and synthetic fluids.

[ back ]

E-Pak™ (Coreless)
Media: Beta Pore™

Our environmentally friendly E-Pak™ elements reduce disposal cost with a design that can be crushed to less than 50% of their operating volume. Coreless elements provide the performance advantages of our C and R Pak™ metal core elements but are manufactured without any metal components. E-Pak™ media construction utilizes our five-layered Pak™ with a polymer inner and outer mesh support along with a proprietary polymer mesh outer wrap to stabilize pleat spacing and support the entire Pak™ under surge and inadvertent reverse flow conditions. E-Pak™ elements are more than 50% lighter than traditional elements making it easier for the operator to change elements in large filter assemblies such as those used in lubrication applications.

[ back ]

L-Pak™ (Deep Pleat)
Media: Beta Pore™

Specifically designed for lubrication applications and utilizing the same five-layer construction as the C-Pak™, our L-Pak™ series are designed with an extra deep pleat construction for even greater dirt holding capacity while still providing high efficiency filtration in steady-flow low pulsation systems.

[ back ]

H-Pak™ (High Collapse)
Media: Beta Pore™

For critical system applications where a bypass valve in undesirable, our H-Pak™ media provides high-collapse elements up to the rated housing pressures they are used in (up to 3,000 PSID). H-Pak™ elements take advantage of our five-layer C-Pak™ for optimum efficiency and dirt holding capacity while utilizing a 304 stainless steel inner and outer mesh support along with a heavier core tube to protect the system against failures under the most extreme conditions.

[ back ]

P-Pak™ (Cellulose)

Media: WestaPore™

Natural fiber cellulose media provides cost effective filtration of a variety of petroleum-based fluids. It is ideal in less critical or limited usage applications where cost is an over-riding issue. P-Pak™ cellulose media provides dependable performance and nominal filtration contamination control.

[ back ]

W-Pak™ (Water Removal)
Media: WPore™

Wpore™ is a highly absorbent combination of BetaPore™ and absorbent copolymer media designed to provide effective removal of emulsified and free water from low-flow systems that have become contaminated because of natural condensation or worn actuators in the system. With effective water removal combined with nominal particulate filtration you can be assured that your system is protected while undergoing the water removal process.
